This Privacy Policy explains how Casa Cristal Nursery, Inc. (“Casa Cristal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about visitors to casacristal.com (the “Site”).

Information you give us directly. When you contact us through a form on the Site, request information about grapevines or rootstock, sign up for updates, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

Business or vineyard name
Email address
Telephone number
Mailing or property address
The content of your message or inquiry
Any other information you choose to provide

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers and our analytics tools automatically record:

IP address
Browser type and version
Operating system and device type
Referring website
Pages viewed, time spent, and links clicked
Date and time of your visit

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to function, to maintain security, and to remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, together with Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies that assign your browser a randomly generated identifier and records the pages you view. We also maintain server-side analytics and web server logs.
Advertising. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising cookies on the Site.

Information collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and its practices for how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Managing your choices. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the consent banner presented when you first visit the Site. Please note: our server-side analytics and web server logs operate independently of the consent banner and record basic request information, including IP address, for security, fraud prevention, and traffic measurement purposes. This processing is necessary to operate and secure the Site.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information through the Site. Please do not submit such information through our forms.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Analytics providers. Google LLC receives Site usage information through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, as described in Section 2.
Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, and customer relationship management — and who are contractually permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
Professional advisors such as attorneys and accountants, where reasonably necessary.
Legal and safety disclosures, where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of others.
A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business records, and to comply with legal obligations.

Inquiry and customer records: generally up to seven years.
Google Analytics user- and event-level data: 14 months, consistent with our configured retention setting in Google Analytics.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information we collect. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), may give you the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to
Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to exceptions
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. You may still decline analytics cookies through our consent banner at any time.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) browser signal. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a request to decline non-essential cookies, and analytics cookies will not be set.

Categories of personal information collected. In the preceding twelve months we have collected the following statutory categories: identifiers (name, email address, telephone number, postal address, IP address); commercial information (inquiries about products); and internet or other electronic network activity information (browsing and interaction data). We collect these from you directly and automatically through the Site, for the purposes listed in Section 3.

You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days with notice.

8. Visitors Outside the United States

The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for growers and agricultural businesses in California and the western United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is directed to agricultural and business customers, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites, including industry associations, research organizations, and regulatory agencies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their policies separately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be identified as such. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
