We had the honor of sponsoring the FFA pruning contest again this year. Our grower relations rep, John Moso, served as a judge for the event, which was held at Kautz Farms in Lodi. Several FFA chapters participated, with 50 students representing cities from Redding to Avenal. The contest included a written test followed by a timed pruning of bilateral, Quad, and cane pruning, and an oral presentation for each pruning style.
It was wonderful seeing the future of viticulture in action!
